Back in Motion at PIM

May 11, 2020

We simply cannot thank you, our Performance in Motion (PIM) athletes and patients, enough for the support you have demonstrated throughout these past few months. Your patience, flexibility and commitment to the mission of our company is very much appreciated. We also stand with all of those in our PIM family, and extended family, who are experiencing difficult circumstances and loss due to this horrible virus. We hold fast to the hope that brighter days are ahead.

Though we understand that Covid-19 is far from behind us, it is exciting to note that our efforts to control the virus in Chicago have been paying off. We all want to get back to “moving” again in our facilities as soon as we are safely able, and after a successful two week trial of testing our new safety guidelines in our River North and West Loop facilities, our team feels confident that we can continue with the process of reopening our doors to you for Physical Therapy care.

Because the safety of our athletes, community, and team remains our top priority, reconvening our face-to-face visits within our facilities will come with clear and strict guidelines in an effort to continue to “first do no harm”. In both facilities, we will continue to provide the one-on-one, private, athlete-centered, Physical Therapy care in settings that are clean and controlled, with minimal traffic. The kind of environment that PIM is known for. Please refer to our COVID 19 Guidelines here. In addition, our host facilities of Hifi Fitness in River North and Wattage Personal Training in the West Loop have adopted appropriate measures to do the same and will be back open as soon as they are allowed to.

The effectiveness and ease of providing our Physical Therapy and Performance Training services through Telehealth has truly been an enlightening experience over the past few months. We plan on continuing this mode of care for our athletes and are taking measures to enhance this experience through the addition of both athlete management and teleconferencing platforms that we will be introducing in the near future.

We also have been hard at work to ensure that we come out of this pandemic stronger than when we started. From online education content to our new digital movement library to the previously mentioned athlete management and tracking platforms, our team looks forward to helping all of you move better than ever and make a stronger impact on the Physical Therapy and Performance Training community. Stay tuned for all of this!

Please feel free to reach out to your primary Physical Therapist on our team to schedule your next face-to-face or Telehealth visit. We will continue to monitor the status of the Covid-19 virus and appreciate your continued flexibility and understanding as things change day-by-day. We all can’t wait to see you whether on a screen or in our facilities very soon!

Keep moving everyone!

Team PIM – Robbie, Jacob, Jyron, and Jen
